Well Mad Dawgs and parents we lost a hard fought game this past Saturday versus West Clermont. Our boys came out and played hard as they always do, but in the end West Clermont won. This is three division games in a row now, two in overtime. What a stretch of games, these have been tough physical football games and we've been so close in every one. As coaches we are all proud of the fight in our boys and there efforts on the field. We all know we can be better, and we all know we can beat these teams. Now is the time where we work harder, prepare better, and rally around each other. These Dawgs still have fight left!

We all believe in these Mad Dawgs.

Harrison & Colerain games

Our Mad Dawgs played with pride and passion as a team these last two games. Our boys have shown that we are a team and have displayed great sportsmanship all season, especially in these last two games during some adversity. In both games we outgained our opponents and in both games we had our chances to win. Unfortunately, we came up short as both games finished in overtime.

Coaches and players will learn from these games so that we are better from these experiences. We will "play the next game, not the last game" and move on proud of what we accomplish along the way.

Our division rival West Clermont is on the horizon, so let's prepare as a team and go out and bring home our 7th victory of the Mad Dawgs 1st season.

Sycamore

Another great effort from the boys. We are playing good football and we will need to with the meat of our schedule coming up. The boys really seem to be having fun. My biggest concern is that we'll run out of helmet bones. 7 kids ran the ball! Everyone played a lot of minutes and everyone will get a lot of work this week with Mariemont on Wed and Reading on Sat. Reading is a tough team and we had two hard fought games last year with them. Lets have another good week of work and put our best foot forward on Saturday. Go Mad Dawgs!

Delhi

Wow! What a game the boys played on Saturday. I was impressed how some of the new kids stepped up and played very well. I think I counted 6 different kids who carried the ball and more than 16 who had tackles! We still have some things to iron out, but we are playing well and hopefully the boys are having fun. They sure seemed like they were on Saturday! Parents, whatever you did on Friday night try to repeat that every week because they came ready play.
Big game this week. Lets have a great week of practice. Go Mad Dawgs!

St. Jude Bowl

Great game on Sunday. I was proud of the way the boys battled back from a halftime deficit. We seem to be finding our identity, but we have to come ready to play from the first play to the last. We will see everyone at practice at Ayer tonight at 6 pm. Go Mad Dawgs!

Bernie Bowl

I haven't watched the film yet, but I think I speak for all of the coaches when I say that I was awfully proud of our team today. We corrected many of the issues that we had in last weeks scrimmage. Many of the boys were playing in their first game and performed very well. Lets continue to improve. We have a tough test next week against Bridgetown before getting into league play. Lets go out and get another trophy next Sunday. Like Coach Dave said, think about what you did right and wrong today and we'll help you fix what you did wrong. Be ready to practice on Tues and Thurs. Go Mad Dawgs!

Throw a Dawg a bone!

The coaches have implemented a decal award program for the boys. The kids will get a bone decal for their helmet for various things such as a win, a big play or just simply by completing the preseason, making it to all the practices etc. This really seems to motivate the boys to participate and compete. Also each coach will be identifying a player each week that they feel is deserved of a bone. I hope to see all of the boys helmets covered in orange bones by the end of the year. Go Mad Dawgs!

1st week of practice

Coach Mike - I'm sure I speak for all the coaches when I say great job everyone on your first week of practice. We need to keep the same enthusiasm and hustle as we move on to week two of practice. Congratulations to all of you who received a pactice ball, that means your working hard and impressing the coaches and your team. Go Mad Dawgs!
